Christmas Day 2006

Christmas dinner with the Crowe family. (From left to right) Mom, Dad, Sivje, Ahnalin, Don, Chelle, Christian, and India.

We had a great Christmas dinner together as a family.

Baby Ahnalin opening her toys.

Ahnalin got some great new toys from Santa and had a blast opening them and then playing with them.

We can't wait to dress our soon-to-be-baby in this comfy penguin outfit.

And this outfit.

And this one.

Christmas Eve at My Folks

We are having a good time at mom and dad's as we anxiously await the arrival of Sivje, Don, India and Ahnalin. They should arrive late tonight, so we can all wake up early tomorrow and see if Santa visits.
I hope everyone is having a great Christmas Eve.

Our Baby Bird

Wednesday we visited the doctor and were able to get these pictures of our first born (well first born to be).
We think baby is sucking his/her thumb, or he/she is scratching his/her nose.

Merry Christmas from the Crowes

Christian, Chelle, Crockett and Clementine would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Crockett is so hip hop that he had to wear his hat to the side.

2006 Naples Christmas Boat Parade

Saturday Night was the Christmas Boat Parade right here on our island. While parking was a big issue for many, it was the biggest plus of the event for us. At about 5:00pm they blocked all streets coming off 2nd into the neighborhood. People started flooding the streets heading to the canals to see the parade. Chelle and I walked down to the bridge just in time to see the last few boats of the parade. We had mistakenly thought that the parade went from 6 until 9. Anyway, the mood was far to festive to be upset and the crowds hung around and walked the canals to see all the lights.

I'm sorry these photos don't do the scene justice. The houses looked amazing on the water.

The Coneheads

Crockett and Clementine have been fixed. We figured one baby on the way is just about all we can handle at the moment. So for the next 10 to 14 days the wieners will be coned for their protection. We have got our hands full trying to help the little guys navigate their way around the house until they get used to the cones.

The 2006 Belmont Shore Christmas Parade

Last night we joined the masses walking over the bridge to the Belmont Shore Christmas Parade. Neither Chelle nor I realized what a big deal it is here. The street was blocked off earlier in the day so that no cars remained. All the way up and down 2nd street people lined the sidewalks and even the center median was covered with lawn chairs full of kids excited to see the parade.

Photos were taken at night so I attempted to brighten them up before posting and I think I messed them up pretty well.

There were several dogs in the parade, but this little guy was the belle of the ball. His back half was suspended above two wheels and his little front legs were moving like a humming bird's wings, just to keep up with the parade. Everyone fell in love with this little pup as he rolled by and you could tell he was wishing everyone a very merry Christmas.

Clementine in Panties

Our little girl is a full grown bitch. (shut yo mouth!) I guess it's time to go see the doggie OBGyn. In the meantime, Bella has fashioned her a pair of puppy panties.

Poor Crockett, he has been so very good, but the little hottie has been driving him crazy!

DisneyLand

I'm quite a photographer aren't I

Sunday Chelle and I went to Disneyland! It's been quite awhile since I have been, but even longer for Chelle. The last time she walked the streets of mouse land she was only 2. Surprisingly enough, she didn't remember much of it. I on the other hand was here every year while in High School because our church choir toured SoCal every summer and performed here.

Bella at the post office

I realize it has been a long time since I was last here, but there was a lot of different stuff. ToonTown is all new to me. The Haunted Castle was now the "Nightmare Before Christmas Haunted Mansion" and the Pirates of the Carribean was now altered to be more closely related to the movie. The Matahorn was closed for renovations as was the submarine ride. We did Star Tours, and were going to do Space Mountain until we read the doctors recommendation that mothers to be not partake. The best thing about going to Disneyland this time was that the drive home only took us twenty minutes instead of the two or three days it took when I was in choir in the 80s.

I wished I had got a better photo of this girl, but she was definitely a superfan! Her hair had mouse ears of all different colors shaved in it and her fignernails also were painted with the mouse logo.
Birthday #37

Chelle and the birthday boy

Saturday night we celebrated the November birthdays of seven friends. Thanks to the fantastic party planning skills of Renee, close to 150 people partied with us at Sangria on the Hermosa Beach pier.

Party planner Renee, husband Ugo, Me (super short hair), and the new mommy Judy

Here are all 7 of us obviously in a quiet moment of reflection.

For the rest of the photos you can just click on one of the above and through the magic of computers, you'll be whisked away to my flicker account.

Mom and Dad Crowe's visit

Mom and Dad Crowe or as I enjoy calling them, Grandpa and Grandma, have been with us since Saturday night to celebrate my birthday and Thanksgiving. My birthday isn't until the 21st and of course we are bit early for Thanksgiving as well, but it worked out better for them to visit now and we are delighted with that.

On Sunday we went down to Hungtinton Beach and walked the pier and did some window shopping.

We ate lunch at Fred's.

We are having a great time, and are so happy that they have finally moved to Reno so we will be able to be together more often.

Crockett asleep on the couch

Crockett fell asleep last night with all of his toys, so we stacked them on top of him and he didn't even move.

It's funny 'cause from these shots he looks like a big dog, but he's just a little wiener.

Clementine needed to be close to him so she walked over and laid right in front of him, I think it is referred to as upstaging, or being a showboat.

We're Expecting!!!!

It's true! We've now had the opportunity to tell most of our friends and family, but if you are reading this and finding out for the first time please forgive us for not waiting until we've seen you in person. I couldn't wait any longer. I'm crazy excited!!!!

Chelle with her pre-natal vitamins prescription just moments after we learned of the news.

Here is the very first picture of our baby. It's insanely difficult to understand these images, but apparently we were able to see the heartbeat this morning and the little white dot in the dark bubble in the white area is our first child. The doctor says that our next ultrasound will show a lot more and I hope so 'cause I don't understand what I'm looking at at all, but I am very in love and proud of it. :-)

Mother and Child

Proud Father

We've been told that this date can change in the next few visits, but as for now, our due date is July 1st. We will definitely be updating the blog with the details of our birth for all of you who we love and those we only tolerate (just kidding).
