Another from the Pirate Ship Posted by Picasa

Wednesday already and off to the pool. TOO MANY TOURISTS TAKING OUR SPOTS! 4 big ships in port and we were not early birds – therefore missed out on poolside chairs. Oh well, I think our bottoms could use a rest from the cool pool tiles – maybe some exercise………..maybe notJ

The ships are truly impressive. We admired them from ashore and bubbled enthusiastically about our up coming cruise in January. Certainly we will have re-couped from this vacation by the time we need to Cruise. Yippee!!!!!!

Ships A-Hoy! We couldn’t resist. The Pirate’s Life for us tonight. How fun.
The ship leaves the dock at 6 sharp with a full crew of mates with smiling faces. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and several laughs. The show was cute- very impressive to watch them dance on the deck of a rocking ship. Dinner of filet and shrimp and several margaritas. Another festive night – didn’t realize that things could ever really be this great – EVERYNIGHT!!!!!!

Tuesday already and the sun shines like it has not yet even rested. Coffee is dark and robust and we make plans to lounge around the pool again today. We took a jaunt around the grounds of our vast complex. There are beautiful Bougainvillea gardens, expansive palms and Birds of Paradise to greet us around every corner. The lovely Mexican tiled water fountains and pools authenticate even more our dream vacation home.

A special “anniversary dinner” at Bogarts…exquisite!!!! This Moroccan themed restaurant is a part of Krystal as well. Traditional white domed ceilings atop majestic carpets over the brick and gold inlayed floor. A huge waterfall glistened at the center (and right next to our table) under candlelit stars of bronze. We dined on lobster and steak and a beautiful shrimp risotto. Crème Brulee topped off our perfectly romantic evening. We are so excessively full and tremendously blessed!!!

Here are some more photos of the waterfall that we visited via horseback.

This is view of our resort from the boat on the way home.

Lunde arrives are we are ready to party. Early morning rise to meet Hector to take us to our boat for a day cruise. Luna de Meil disembarks at 10 am sharp and we weren’t even late.

Breaky treats of fruit juice, and shortbread cakes then onto the good stuff – Mai Tais and floating at sea.

First stop was at the tres rocks for snorkeling. Really gloomy water and huffing the boat gas made for not the greatest experience --- but we at least we tried it anyway.

2nd stop at Los Animas for cheeseburger lunch and rest on white sandy beach.

Headed farther south for the trek on horseback to the romantic site of the hidden waterfall. This was really amazing! A very good investment to get those horsey tickets……incredible inclines and muddy ravines are much better handled by horses than Honeymooners in flip flops – that is for certain. This trek took nearly 45 minutes each way through the jungle where the indigenous live among the iquanas and chickens in very ancient ways. Their huts are equipped with modern stoves, yet no walls, or running water and truly littered surroundings. Very sad lives within very lush and lovely nature.

Dance party de Miel hosted by Miguel featuring many cervesas and lots of laughs. Arrived happy and tipsy and giggled the entire block home safe and sound to 136 for room service and pj party of our own. Sweet dreams.

Sunday sunshine and the swim up bar beckons us! Cheers, beers, and festive dears are we. Another beautiful day awaits. Some food and drink at the Crab Shack and then back to our lounge chairs to rest from nearly 2 hours of being awake. Haha.

Soooooo tired from resting all day we return to the room to take a nap. Steak dinner and a brief walk then back to bed. What a full day. Vacation is really hard work.

The sun is out and our bellies are growling. A huge breakfast of fresh fruit, coffee, Mexican meats and huevos, more coffee, and a beautiful ocean view sets us off to a perfect start to the day.

Relaxing next to a refreshing pool is not as easy as it sounds. We also had to drink fruity cocktails, swim and swim, and be waited on hand and foot by the fantastic staff of Krystal. Thanks so much Jose, Marcos, and Juan! Cheers.

Arriba Christine! Dancing Queen! Very cool discotheque with theater seating, smoke machines, mega tv screens, table service and grape drinks….FUN! We shook it on the dance floor and partied like it was 1999. HA. Thankfully, those grape concoctions weren’t strong so we were able to go to bed with fine heads and only sore booties.

Happy Anniversary to us!!!!! Gracias Puerto Vallarta for making our first year commence in a most romantic and marvelous setting.

We began our adventure in typical Crowe fashion waking early to depart to the airport LAX for what should have been an early 7:20 flight for Mexico. Leave it to Chelle to forget a few details. Birth certificates are necessary to leave the country ---- not just re-enter. So, with the helpful and patience hands of a loving husband, we headed to a different gate to attain an Affidavit so we could continue our plans for our trip. This wasn’t too difficult a task and soon we were back in place for a rather long wait to get on a plane to Puerto Vallarta with fingers crossed.

Finally, we did get a stand by seat to Guadalajara and arrived safely in Puerto Vallarta about 9:30 on Friday evening. After a short cab ride we were delivered to our new home for the week ---- NH Krystal International Resort. It was beautiful!
Not outside of character, we did have a few glitches to deal with upon check-in, but through the example of my husband, I remained calm and before we knew it, we were unpacking the “too many” bags in our luxurious suits. There were 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchenette, living room, sitting room and king size bed to make for 1 very comfortable stay!!

Our HUGE balconies overlooked lush green grounds with winding brick pathways and ceramic pools. We could hear the ocean waves crashing to shore to wish us anniversary congrats. We feel so blessed and so in love. Our adventure continues! After a romantic dinner for 2 at the hotels Sushi bar (I know, very Mexican haha) we retired to our casa for a well needed siesta.
